100% offset account

A 100% offset account is a savings account that cuts interest charged on a home loan. The more you save, the less interest you pay on your home loan.

It works like this. No interest is paid to the offset account. Instead, the balance of your offset account is deducted from your loan account and then interest on the remainder of your home loan is calculated.
